Shangri La Hotel

The Shangri La hotel in bangkok is a very modern five star hotel that has all the amenities for the tourist. This 25-story hotel is located along the Chao Pharya River. The hotel has been built with modern day western interior decorations and its beauty has been improved by delicate Thai artisanship.
Shangri La hotel was designed by Interdesign, the same group of architects that built the Sofitel Central Plaza, Novotel Siam square and Amari Orchid resort in Pattaya.

The hotel has 799 rooms including 52 suites in two wings, Shangri La and Krungthep. The Krungthep Wing offers 24 fully serviced apartments for long-term stays, with full use of hotel facilities and services.

The hotel is located close to the BTS skytrain Thaksin station allowing the tourist easy access to rest of the city. The exterior of Shangri La hotel is surrounded by lush gardens, a superb pool surrounded by pretty flowers, orchids and well-manicured lawns. The lobby is very inviting and warm. All visitors will feel at home, the moment they enter the lobby.

One advantage of staying at the Shangri La is its great central location. The hotel offers a complimentary boat shuttle to River City that is a great place to buy gifts and souvenirs. The hotel also offers a free mini bus service to Silom center that is probably the place to be in Bangkok. Silom is always bustling with activity both during the day and during night. For those who want to explore bangkok, one can use a tuk-tuk or even a taxi. The hotel can also arrange a limousine or a helicopter ride if you are willing to pay extra.
